@theposh It maybe about time

Thanks Luke Williams for what you have done but I think these lads in the POSH team need a clip round the ear 👂

Peterborough United Football Club has today parted company with First Team Manager Luke Williams.

On behalf of everyone at the Football Club, we would like to place on record our thanks to Luke for all his efforts during his time at the Weston Homes Stadium.

This is not a decision the club has taken lightly. However, the team's form in Sky Bet League One has not matched the Board's expectations, particularly given the significant investment made in the squad, and following today's performance against Doncaster Rovers the Board felt it had no other choice but to make a change.

The club's existing coaching staff will take charge of the first team squad while the Board considers its next steps.

@theposh @psfcturbines @jadetailing What have we paid £10 to see send these boys home and notify us when the season starts ffs 🤦‍♀️ 😂😭

[Kiera Allen @shakiera99]

@theposh @psfcturbines @jadetailing I just don’t even know what to say now 😭 WHO ARE YA where are our actual players at 😭

[Peterborough United @theposh]

Matt Garbett was superb against England in the warm-up friendly, so we are all gutted to learn he will miss the rest of the World Cup due to injury. We know he will come back stronger and wish him well for his recovery.

No one plays like Gustav,
No one kicks like Gustav,
No one scores the way he does, He’s got the strength, he’s got the flair,
No one else can compare!
He’s the one they all cheer for!

[Peterborough United @theposh]

77' - GOOOOOOOOOOOOALLLLLLLLLLLL! Gustav Lindgren is in the right place at the right time to tap home from close-range and Posh are level.
