LIONEL MESSI FINALLY GETS HIS WORLD CUP! 🐐🏆

[Nizaar Kinsella @NizaarKinsella]

1-0. Alphonso Davies with Canada's first ever #FIFAWorldCup goal! #CAN

“No more buses running empty through downtown” what?? Has this man ever been to Bank Street? Our buses in Centretown are always late or missing and when they do show up they’re filled to the brim with people.

Carlos Alcaraz, 19 years, 4 months, 6 days, beats Casper Ruud 6-4, 2-6, 7-6(1), 6-3 to win a first Grand Slam title at the #USOpen and become the youngest ATP number #1 EVER.

What a moment -- for him and for tennis.

BREAKING: Queen Elizabeth II has died, Buckingham Palace says. Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, and a rock of stability over more than seven decades, was 96.

Elizabeth was on the throne as the U.K. rebuilt from war, and both entered and left the E.U. https://t.co/GhOpxV9ggc

r1 replacement service is genuinely my thirteenth reason mostly bc the otrain line makes ZERO sense as a bus route

[shakira @shakiralisha]

i really like the new star trek shows considering i understand absolutely nothing about them. i spend half the episodes googling what original series episode its referencing, i will never not be confused

[shakira @shakiralisha]

ok so i thought about this and i’m back to hating bc octranspo advertises 25 mins to downtown on a poster at the airport which seems like a huge stretch since the only reason it worked out for me was bc it was 6am and the driver could skip every stop

[shakira @shakiralisha]

i HATE to say something nice about octranspo but it took me 25 mins with 1 transfer to go from centretown to the airport compared to $60 for an uber

[ℳatt (matttomic.bsky.social) @matttomic]

It's wild that one cord getting kicked somewhere in our stupid telecom monopoly was enough to shut down an entire G7 nation's internet access and banking and payment system and 911 system and made the Blue Jays lose 8-3 to the Mariners

[shakira @shakiralisha]

i desperately want to know what an intern did that was so dumb it took out rogers’ entire network

[RogersHelps @RogersHelps]

On behalf of all of us at Rogers, we sincerely apologize to our customers, and we will continue to keep you updated as we have more information to share, including when we expect service to be back up.

They’re dead. That’s where they went. All these people who had to work through the worst of it. They died. One million people died and we’re confused about a labor shortage.

Collins is the single senator who did the most to ensure that Roe was overturned. She was the lynchpin that made this possible. This is the defining feature of her legacy and will impact far more people than anything else she has ever done. Nothing else is remotely close.
