@jackzolecki_ @STLBluesMuse @FriedgeHNIC It's a bit more complicated than that. He 100% would be a Florida resident. But they pay taxes where they make their income. So all away games are taxed according to that state/province.

@STLBluesMuse @FriedgeHNIC Napkin math tells me if the Leafs gave him the same deal, he'll net $720,000/yr more in Florida vs Ontario. It gets complicated because you pay taxes in the state / province the income is earned - so it's not quite that high, but I'd bet it's somewhere between $500k - $700k
