Alfred Keter told Ruto,“If you ever become president, you’ll leave Kenyans hating the Kalenjin and lumping every one of them together with your thieving image.”The man saw the mess before it even happened....
It's funny how Ruto frames basic financial accountability as a hostile burden. The World Bank is basically asking for receipts and an audit trail before releasing cash. The panic in state house tells you everything you need to know about how much they thrive in the dark.
🚨 There’s a SACCO bill in Parliament today, and most Kenyans don’t even know what’s coming.
Quietly... with almost no public attention…
A system is being introduced that will centralize SACCO money, and Govt will now have a massive say in it.
Think of it as a “Super SACCO” for all SACCOs.
It will:
- Hold funds from different SACCOs
- Manage liquidity
- Run payments
- Lend to SACCOs
- Invest your money
Sounds safe? Here’s the reality:
❗ SACCOs could lose some operational independence
❗ Oversight becomes much heavier (via Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority)
❗ Leaders must meet “fit & proper” approval
❗ Strict reporting & constant supervision
And yes, this could mean slower access to your money in some situations.
Now the part they won’t emphasize:
Your savings are only protected up to KSh 100,000
If a SACCO collapses?
Anything above that = your risk.
Even worse:
⚠️ Payouts are NOT immediate
⚠️ Must be approved & gazetted first
⚠️ You could wait while your money is locked
So ask yourself:
Why centralize SACCO money...
But limit protection for members?
This bill is being sold as “safety.”
But it also introduces control by the government, delays, and new risks for ordinary Kenyans.
This is how systems change,
slowly, quietly... then permanently
A clear footage of what happened in Keumbu, it seems the police were directing the goons to throw more stones.
A guy from Linda Mwananchi by the name Osiemo died.
The High Court has ordered the Inspector-General of Police and the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) to jointly pay a university student Sh8 million for police brutality and a years-long failure to deliver justice.
The court found that police breached Allan Omondi's constitutional rights by assaulting and unlawfully detaining him during a 2019 incident near Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) on his way to the hostels.

I’ve been saying it, that it will only get worse by the day and the ones in charge, know what’s going on. This won’t end well. I can foresee worse by December and let’s not even talk about next year.
It is what it is.
What happens the day the opposition also decides to hire weapon-wielding groups for protection because the police can't be trusted? You are actively cooking a recipe for anarchy.
You can see how the police were handling goons who were throwing stones to Linda Mwananchi leaders and compare with how they have been dealing with peaceful protesters.
They were bold. Operating in the full glare of cameras and police officers without showing the slightest sign of fear, the entire operation appeared carefully choreographed. The suspected hired goons, believed to enjoy the backing of local authorities, wreaked havoc on a Linda Mwananchi rally in Kisii.
Although the opposition leaders successfully held rallies across the region, the attack on their convoy at Keumbu once again exposed the state's underbelly in allegedly promoting political hooliganism.
The warning signs were glaring earlier in the day when a group of youths staged a protest in Kisii Town. They were complaining about what they described as an underpayment for an assignment to block the Linda Mwananchi leaders from accessing the town. The disgruntled youths claimed they had only received Sh500 instead of the Sh1,500 promised by a powerful politician to disrupt the convoy.
