‘But we are still a team as parents and will do everything for them….. except stick it out and figure it out so the family can stick together which is the absolute best outcome for the daughters, even if they are adults’.
I’ll take a shot in the dark and say your wife made the decision and you “agreed”.
It’s more-so sarcasm. I don’t just do it in twitter, but also irl. Finally, it is not an absolute denigration of an entire generation, just a generalization, obviously. But to speak absolutely, yes, every person I know irl who makes jokes like these is 60+. And since you’re offended that I find them repulsive I just assume you’re an old timer.
I appreciate the thought out response. To preface, I don’t care about Custer specifically and am not handwringing because it is his flag or something.
I didn’t mean to say he is your direct ancestor, but in this conversation about relations between two peoples, he is a white man thats important to our nations history, so for us white Americans here today he is collectively part of our “ancestry”.
There’s been thousands of flags yes and flags are symbols but they aren’t dancing on any of the Indian tribes they were enemy’s with symbols are they? No, they are dancing on a white mans symbol, because the White Man defeated Them, but this is the notable white man they defeated so they still celebrate it 150 years later as a middle finger to the White Man. Go drive through the Reservations out in the mid-west and enjoy reading all of the “No-White’s allowed” signs and open hostility (from most, some are like Wild Horse that are very friendly and welcoming of course).
My point is most everything at the end of the day comes down to race and the people you belong to. Sure, your direct ancestors are confederates, mine are Yankees, but we are white, and, even to Wild Horse here, deep down to them we both belong to Custer. So go break bread with ancestral enemies, but don’t think it’s all sunshine and rainbows and that the hatchet is completely buried.
@Adriezy1@BridgetPhetasy Begrudgingly went to Disney recently, almost every single girl 10+ had their ass cheeks sliding out of their “shorts” and whatever chest they could bare shown. It was insane to my wife and I.
The main gym of the area I used to live was right next to a HS, if you were unluckily there when it let out, every single girl would come there fully clothed, get to the weight floor, and then strip down to her sports bra and tiny spandex shorts. Then do fuck all but take up space and distract the HS boys.
Even the old ladies there would wear the same fit.
We can hope, but the poll they’re referencing says the men answered 52% for democrats, 42% republicans, 5% unsure.
For “determined” male voters it was 57% democrat 40% republican.
I would think the “unsure” or some third option % would be higher if it was a fun based answer like this.
I thought you were “too autistic” and a “machine” and would drag everyone up the hill? Social pressure be damned?
There were many who liked the idea at first, even me and I’m not fond of you at all.
This could have worked I think but there were too many conflicting and weird messages coming out from you which threw everyone off and made everyone suspicious. Especially the “Jewish Lawyers” ask.
Honestly, a buyout method would not be a bad idea. 67million boomers left, on average they each paid about $75K in payroll taxes over their working years, cut each a 82.5K check, instead of ~$800K over their life from retirement to death. Fair deal.
Otherwise, from their perspective, it would be like they got robbed the whole time.
I have never seen the official Catholic Church advocate for gay rights / marriage, just keeping the doors open for gays, and any sinner for that matter. Maybe some Individual “Catholic” churches do some gay shit, sure, but that doesn’t mean the entirety of the church advocates for “gay rights”.
But yes, especially recently, the Catholic Church has gone pretty hard on immigration and refugee acceptance.
