Theresa went to have a baby.
Her husband went to the hospital hoping to leave with his wife and baby, instead, he was met with the devastating news that his wife had died during childbirth.💔

In 2025 alone, 965 women in Ghana died from pregnancy-related complications.
965 mothers. Daughters. Wives. Sisters.

And the frightening thing is, almost all of us know someone who went to have a baby and never came home.
We cannot continue to treat maternal deaths as unfortunate statistics.

I am calling for a bipartisan parliamentary inquiry into maternal deaths in Ghana to understand WHY women are still dying, identify where our systems are failing them, and demand clear, time-bound action.

This must also become a national conversation.
Because when we pay attention, when we put the right systems in place and when we are deliberate, WE SAVE LIVES.

No woman should leave home to give life and never return.
For Theresa and for every woman whose story never made the news.
We must do better and we can. 🙏🏽

In my previous role, my OM was Nigerian, and I always made sure to address him as “Uncle” or “Mr. ___,” never by his first name. Funny enough, our GM was white, and we all addressed him by his first name. And this was in the USA. Cultural awareness is underrated but relevant.

Spent an hour on zoom this morning with a CEO who sells software to independent pharmacies.

There are 21,000 independent pharmacies in the US, I would have never believed that I guessed there were 4,000.

He has 3,200 of them as customers already, at 88% GRR.

His product costs $400/month but he has some clients paying $1,000/mo for an enterprise tier.

He told me the biggest risk to his business isn't competition, AI or really anything in tech.

It's that his customers are aging out... and it's happening fast.

Average pharmacy owner age is 58.

The ones selling their stores go to chains, and the chains don't want his software.

The ones retiring just close.

So he built a succession planning module. It helps owners find buyers, value their business, and transition their data.

This one module has exploded his business. He's now doing $4M in ARR up from ~$1.3M in ARR, and NRR has 3x'ed.

Now he's the first call when a pharmacy changes hands.
