Is no one else appalled at the privileged older white women laughing at @kellebryan for explaining another woman of colours experience? How can they sit and laugh when they’ve never experienced it themselves! So patronising, I’m embarrassed for them! #LooseWomen
@ChantelO26@kellebryan They are two white women, they are clearly privileged and were talking over someone about her own experiences… please tell me where my point is racist? The reason I made the point is they were trying to tell her something only she has experienced is false. Also FYI…I am white
@MeghansPower @captaindirky @kellebryan Wanting to educate myself, am I wrong for saying “person of colour” to explain to these people I am a white person defending a black woman who’s just been mocked on tv? I say it because it seems to be the “correct” term but feels inclusive to other backgrounds and ethnicities.
@Edwardv22249346@kellebryan Exactly. Everyone can have different opinions, but to laugh so aggressively in her face, clearly make her feel awkward on national TV and to not allow her to get her point across whilst they shouted as loud as they could just isn’t on. The lack of respect is so clear to see.
@captaindirky @kellebryan Just for context, I am white I am not a person of colour. But I can see when someone is being treated differently and in a patronising way. They haven’t experienced what she was trying to explain, she’s had first hand experience… they could’ve showed some respect
@philip_logan@kellebryan I’m not sure I recon they would’ve tried it and then soon stepped down because they would’ve held their own and shouted louder. You never know though, three against one and no doubt in a situation they’ve experienced before, they may not have got their point across either.
I was very honoured to have been asked to voice this advert.
It’s my birthday today. The perfect gift for me would be to retweet it so this brilliant app gets out far and wide. 🎁
Such a great evening at the @joelycett home gig in Birmingham! Phenomenal evening, so glad you’re a fellow brummy! Such a touching end and the standing ovations were thoroughly deserved! #joelycett#moremoremore
Not only are @ZARA charging their customers for the replacement of THEIR faulty products, they also say that in 2022 they don’t have an inclusive way for people to contact them! Phone call only, which will no doubt cost you a bomb too! 👏🏼 good going #inclusivity#CustomerService
Sorry I don’t actually know the presenter’s name on the BBC1 news right now but shes done an amazing job driving this programme since 5pm & deserves a medal or at least a strong G&T the minute she’s off air.
Oh how she sparkles! Inspiration by the amazing @rosielynails until I’m back in Birmingham where she can do a much better job than me! using @magpie_beauty@MadamGlam https://t.co/03WRvzRoHZ #nailsofinstagram#nailart#nails💅… https://t.co/5mAP9RHsql
What does a mask do? Blocks respiratory droplets coming from your mouth and throat.
Two simple demos:
First, I sneezed, sang, talked & coughed toward an agar culture plate with or without a mask. Bacteria colonies show where droplets landed. A mask blocks virtually all of them.
