1. YOUNG TICKET NEVER MEETS RAYA
Nadia kills herself with ticket in the circus . Raya arrives at the blast scene and imagines his son sitting and laughing at him.
It’s Nadia’s toxic chaotic revenge to Raya’s chaos.
#ToxicTheMovie
Although I never post online much, let alone a review, I felt #ToxicTheMovie needs a fair review. Not that mine matters to anyone.
The bad points are at the end.
I think the movie was building towards the climax quietly and chaotically, so much that a lot of details went unnoticed.
Raya's hallucination first started after he got to know he is a father, which triggered his trauma of losing his son, and it took its full form only when Raya's son with Melissa visually reached the same age as Ticket.
The first appearance was after the hospital scene. Raya was in the bathtub and listening to some radio news about the Northeast rebel army, and when he went inside the water, his hallucination started. He imagined Ticket to be in a Northeast jungle in a rebel-like environment and killing everyone. Because Raya kills everyone and believes in violence, Raya's mind created the dialogue, "Without war, nothing solves." Ticket picking up the microphone and the muffled voice coming through was the same as Raya being underwater and hearing the muffled radio voice.
There is a reason why that radio was shown, I guess. So many people missed why the Northeast was there. This is the same effect as when we go to sleep and hear or see something, and then see that in our dream. Similarly, Raya saw Ticket in that hallucination in the Northeast.
After that, every action sequence slowly revealed that people around him were realizing something was wrong with Raya mentally.
The first instance was when Raya fired shots in the hallway during Christmas. There, his right-hand man saw him firing towards the balcony, and when he actually checked down, no one was there. That's where he realized something was wrong.
When Raya told him he wanted to see him fix this thing, he looked at Raya with pity and concurred that he would let it continue and be by his side.
When Ticket was burning down Raya's empire, he said he felt Ticket was hearing his every breath and knew what he was going to do.
When Melissa said, "It's over," to Raya, that was about her knowing about the hallucination thing and being fed up. How did she know? During Christmas, she was the one who stayed calm and kept telling everyone it was nothing, as she knew Raya was having his hallucination but there was no real threat.
From this point forward, every action was his hallucination and was pretty much explainable in the climax, where his Ticket personality overtook him and he kidnapped his son and fought.
Going to the first half, I don't know why a few people were killed. The hook of the movie was bad, and in the quest of trying to understand it, people got tired and disconnected before they could understand the later half.
The editing ruined this movie, and some dialogues could have been a bit easier.
The climax tells us Raya avoided his trauma throughout his life, but he finally has to face it. The dream sequence in the climax, seeing Ganga and Nadia, was amazing, and then finally, when he accepted Ticket as his son, he accepted his trauma as well.
The story was great. The initial editing was not. I believe this movie also requires an open mind to see it at this point. There are bad parts, but the movie is not as bad as shown in reviews across social media.
Lastly, I feel this audience was wrong for this movie. Indian audiences have low emotional intelligence. If the same movie came from Hollywood, people would say you gotta watch it twice to understand.
Not denying that the movie tests your patience in the first half, and some scenes could have been cut.
The thing is, I don't know what to feel after this movie. It was amazing and testing my patience at the same time.

super incisive as usual. @ReelReptile 's must read review of Toxic. "Trojan-Horse filmmaking’: where a story commits entirely to the grammar of the masses to craft a message of the classes. It employs all the aesthetics and beats of the male gaze throughout in order to arrive at the one thing the previous movies lack: the consequences of this gaze. Super read. #Toxic is unapologetically dark, gritty and wildly unpredictable. 🔥
What truly stands out is its atmosphere, audacious storytelling and a climax that lands with a mad mad twist, forcing you to rethink everything you have witnessed before.
The production design is phenomenal, cinematography is great. The world feels raw, grimy and lived in.
The first 40 minutes does feel over edited and rushed. A little more breathing room, stronger screenplay flow and better-paced sequencing could have made the build-up far more impactful.
But once the film finds its rhythm, it goes all in.. violence, tension, characters and emotions are presented without holding back. And that final act is CRAZY! Mind-blowing. Bado ki bodies me bachcho jaise dimaag wale nahi samjhenge aisi films ko.💥
A bold, visually rich and unconventional theatrical experience. #Yash fans are definitely in for a treat.
My Rating: 3/5 ⭐⭐⭐

RAICHUR: A 22-year-old woman was allegedly abducted, gang-raped and murdered by four men at Hokrani village in Sirwar taluk of Raichur district, triggering shock and outrage in the area. Police have arrested three accused, while a search is underway to trace the fourth suspect.

Former IAS officer, current MP of one of the most backward districts in Karnataka Shri. @IamGKumarNaik had spent only 10% of allocated fund for the development of the district. Isn't it pathetic to see an IAS cadre, educated MP isn't doing anything for the betterment of the ppl.
This morning, along with senior leaders from Raichur, I addressed a press conference to highlight how the dismantling of MGNREGA will severely impact millions of people across rural India. Key concerns raised:
1. The proposed changes replace MGNREGA’s universal right to employment for rural households with a selective and discretionary system, where the Centre decides which villages “deserve” work.
2. While any government has the authority to frame policies, these far-right reforms strip the poorest of their basic livelihood rights, even as thousands of crores are written off as loans and tax concessions for the richest corporates.
3. The financial burden is being shifted onto states without consulting the Finance Commission or ensuring additional fiscal allocations, pushing already strained state finances into deeper distress.
4. MGNREGA’s guarantee of year-round employment is being replaced by a limited, scheme-based model controlled by the Centre, raising the dangerous risk of pushing vulnerable workers back into conditions resembling forced labour.
This law is a direct assault on the spirit of the Indian Constitution, which guarantees dignity and livelihood to the last person standing. We strongly reject this move, which threatens to strip rural India of its most critical social security lifeline.
