In response to a notice by the ELection Commission, I attended a SIR hearing at a venue near my residence. The entire clarification process was extremely smooth & took barely 15 minutes (including 10 minutes waiting). The staff was courteous & thorough. I really don’t know what the fuss is all about. And since when is a name on the rolls accompanied by the person’s biodata? How is AI supposed to weed out the notables from the hoipolloi, as the sceptics are demanding? We want a perfect democracy but are unwilling to do our basic Constitutional duty.
