@wxheather @jasoncpatton and I have a whole bookcase of combined textbooks and notes, and I've been asking myself the same question. Especially since neither of us are even in the field anymore... but it's hard to let go of them!
Talking with almost 2 yr old daughter, "Are you all done with your lunch?"... "Yeah"... She takes another bite of chips & guac. Yup, that's what we all tell ourselves.
Thank you @GovEvers! Nobody likes abortions, but in an imperfect world women should have the right to make their own choice about their bodies and whether they can provide the support necessary to raise a child. (See also: https://t.co/cZxoV29RDw)
BREAKING: I'm calling the Legislature into special session on June 22 to repeal Wisconsinโs criminal abortion ban. With #SCOTUS poised to overturn #RoeVWade, failing to protect reproductive rights will have real consequences for each of us and the people who matter most to us.
Anyone else put large disclaimers on group brainstorming activities like Jamboard in the (usually vain) hope that no one will talk to you about your ideas until you feel they're polished? Just added "**Very drafty - 6.1.2022**" to one today, we'll see how it goes lol
@wxheather Just switched back to a backpack for work. By the time you add up a laptop, lunch, water bottle, other misc things it just makes so much more sense and is much more comfortable.
@justingehrts @Ash_Baylor Haha, yup, basically the same experience for me! I don't think I had a good steak until college and Jason had me try some of his restaurant meal or something.
@justingehrts @Ash_Baylor My dad loved making steaks growing up, and he equally loved overcooking and under-seasoning them. I didn't realize until I got older that you don't need ketchup if the steak is cooked nicely! ๐
@justingehrts True, she'd probably love the California coast around Monterrey area. Even though I was like 20+ yrs old, I still came back with a dozen rocks because there were so many cool colors! ๐ค
@justingehrts Would rate 6/10... points for smoothness and a nice medium size, but it's a very bland color. Not convinced it's a fridge-worthy rock, would need her to convince me. ๐
Getting some good information in via our Helpdesk today: "The term โplantainโ refers to a type of banana with a very different flavor profile and culinary application than the sweet, yellow banana with which most people are familiar." ๐
@justingehrts Hah, that's too funny! And I have no idea, I actually don't picture you doing that at all (or at least not beyond quiet grumbling). You didn't have a British accent in my dream, but you did very loudly call my food disgusting and inedible ๐ญ
@justingehrts FYI I had a dream last night that you were hosting a cooking show in your house, and you were berating my food like Gordon Ramsay. I made some lovely Arancini, I don't know why you had to be so mean ๐
In line at the McDonald's drive-thru, the minivan in front of us has a pylon stuck by the front tire. The driver got out, laughed, got back in. There's no pylons anywhere nearby, so I'm guessing it's been good and wedged for a while!
@justingehrts I've been thinking about doing that, good to know it helps! Even just thinking about things to do outside once it's warm again sounds nice.
@justingehrts Coffee is an ultimate letdown to me... smells amazing, tastes absolutely awful! Every once in a while I'll try it with a large amount of creamer, every time it's a quick "nope!"
@wxheather I used to calculate it that way, but it's changed over time. I think now estimating figures is often more useful to me so I try to get closer to the final approximate range sooner. So now I'm more likely to do 27+40+8 or 20+40+15. I always find the differences interesting too!
