Instead the only coverage we got was the great but short series “lost in translation: Japan explained” over on the ABC.
It would have been so easy to insert little segments introducing a region or food in Japan during ads, but it felt like the games were being held anywhere :(

As much as I have enjoyed watching the #Olympics it’s been really disappointing to see basically no coverage of the host country by @7olympics. This was a great opportunity to introduce and market Japan, which has put so much on the line for these games.

@LawyersCity @asobocinska My husband was on a partner visa when we moved to Japan for my work. There was no language requirement and it cost $40. The Australian one costs $7715, which is already extortionate for families wanting to live in the same country, even without having language exams. But go off.
