I didn't exactly commit to Nonfiction November (I read 4 nonfiction, 2 fiction), but that didn't stop me from publishing a list of nonfiction book recs in honor of it.

@kaylajohnsonatl People can wear a bracelet and make themselves feel better but still be problematic for us the same way they can scream “f*ck the patriarchy” in All Too Well TMV and still vote for Tr*mp.
@kaylajohnsonatl I understand and mostly appreciate the sentiment, but most of us are going to need genuine connection, proof of public allyship, and more than a bracelet to be trusting at this point.

Is anyone still out there? 👀 My top books of the year post is always the most popular one on my blog, and this year's list is out—on a new platform, @Ghost!
Would love for you to join me: https://t.co/f0C0g6uKn6
@kaylajohnsonatl I told some co-workers today that I wouldn’t know much about a Georgia accent bc most in the city aren’t from here and I don’t go far aside of Atlanta…mostly because of people like this.
This is so brazen.
@kaylajohnsonatl@taylorswift13 As much as I love a good debate, I’ve stopped arguing with these people 😩 But these come to mind: champagne problems, marjorie, the last great american dynasty, Long Live, The Man, Delicate
And tbh watching the eras film should nip “the music is all the same” in the bud
