Briefings focused on maritime deterrence, warfighting readiness, and innovation, before meeting members of the MARCOM Headquarters.

It was good to meet with SACEUR General Grynkewich ahead of the NATO Summit in Ankara.

At the Summit, our priority will be to turn rising defence budgets into real military power for our collective defence. To create a stronger Europe in a stronger NATO.

We will also focus on Ukraine’s needs to defend itself. The battlefield momentum is shifting in Kyiv’s favour.
In Ankara, NATO leaders will pledge further support to Ukraine to keep Moscow on the backfoot.
