In 1940, American pilots risked everything to join the RAF in the Battle of Britain.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight still operates aircraft from that fight to commemorate the British and American crews who took to the skies against the Nazis.

Drones capable of lifting more than four times their own weight could help reinvent vertical and heavy-lift aviation.

Members of the @RoyalNavy and @DSLTmod headed to Dayton, Ohio, for the DARPA Lift Challenge, where competitors tested novel drones built for heavy lift.

@RAFBrizeNorton took 1st place at Leapfest 2026, the world’s largest international static line parachute competition. Cpl Tate Budge also finished third individually.

✈️ The King has visited RAF Marham to learn about the capabilities of the F-35B Lightning aircraft and to meet serving aviators and their families.

Managed jointly by the RAF and Royal Navy, the F-35B aircraft operates across both RAF Marham and the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers.

As Royal Honorary Air Commodore, His Majesty viewed the cockpit of the aircraft and met members of the wider airbase community, including a Community Support, Resilience and Climate Change Group.

Today we honour all those who served in the Korean War.

These images capture UK-U.S. forces serving alongside one another in Korea. A British soldier is welcomed on arrival by a U.S. counterpart in 1952, and a M46 tank leads British Centurion tanks across the Imjin River.
