Shape Edmonton is a @yegshapers project. Global Shapers is a volunteer initiative of @wef, made up of young leaders with a goal to make #yeg a better place.

Today we met @shapeedmonton who came out & chatted with the youth & learned some painting tricks. We’re working to build community & stronger relationships btwn our youth & people we interact with to foster a more welcoming environment for all, no matter your circumstance. ✌🏼

We are out with the youth of @YESSPainting, where they are teaching us how to paint a house!

It was nice to see how learning how to paint and run a small business is empowering the youth of @YESSorg, thereby making a difference in their lives and in our community!

Loneliness is linked to a number of health issues, and according to this study, is also responsible for major life setbacks. This is why we have been focused on battling urban isolation in #yeg in 2018.

The goal of #shapeyeg in 2018 is to reduce urban isolation in #yeg. It can be as simple as reading quietly together in a public space.
