@C0achPb1@Fabriziostinko@EyaWeGew Based on both keepers last season having terrible stats on shots faced to goals conceded?
Wildsmith and Griffiths both underperformed statistically. It might not be BM’s fault this happened, but you have to review and question it.
Only when O’Leary came in did that change.
@louisbridges229@Mossi28 Not saying he’s out of his depth, I just don’t think he’s a top end championship player. I don’t see how he will be in the future either because he doesn’t seem to have the attributes to me. £2m is a lot for us. We can’t waste it on what I think was a muddled signing.
@louisbridges229@Mossi28 I hope you’re right. But we’re in a place now where if we spend £4m on a player - they’ve go to hit the ground running and we need a return on it. Personally, I’m not sure I trust our recruitment team to spend it wisely.
@louisbridges229@Mossi28 Regardless of career stats, what I can see with my own eyes - he’s not a great RB, he offers zero attacking threat, he’s bang average at defending. He’s not particularly big, or quick. He’d get bullied by a big striker at CH. He has got youth on his side I’ll admit. Worth £2m?
@louisbridges229@Mossi28 I think jury is out on value for Heggebo still, because we paid a significant amount for him, the rest sure. But I say mixed because AG, CT, SIJ, CM, HM, Bany, Wildsmith haven’t been poor signings. Also £8m received for Fellows was on the low side - we spent that on Bany and AH.
@louisbridges229@Mossi28 Don’t really see how you can say our recruitment has been fine, I think it’s been mixed at best. Also that AG has been fine? I think he’s a poor RB and not big enough for CH. I’m not sure why or what we bought him for. Replacing fellows with SIJ was a shocking move too 🤷♂️
@AlyssonSZN This is a great question. Why can Air France, KLM, Aer Lingus, Lufthansa, Qatar & Emirates fly in and out of BHX, but BA can’t? Understand LCCs to an extent, but they still make it work financially.
Has to be either their priorities or the way their business is run, or both.
@chrislepkowski Quite remarkable. If this had been the Albion I would have been disgusted.
There are reports that there are players unhappy about it - coming at a critical point in their season too.
@WeAreTheOverlap VAR - 2 reviews a game for each side. The captain of the team can review any on field decision to VAR, similar to cricket. The responsibility then rests on the players, rather than the officials. They get to keep their review if the decision is overturned in their favour.
@BladesBall89 We were better, I’m not sure Mason was the holy grail you think though. He made some bizarre team selections and subs. The issue wasn’t getting rid of Mason, it was bringing in Ramsay. And the other issue is the recruitment has been diabolical.
Good luck for the season 👍
@stephenjnelson@WBA@fitlifefoods There needs to be repercussions for bad performances. He just gets picked regardless and he’s literally costing us points. At this point a break for a couple of games might be better for both him and us.
@talkwba Just not enough time for a manager to come in, to evaluate and get to know the squad. Figure out what works and what doesn’t.
It’s Morrison or bust now for me.
@rickyleegriffi We only need those positions if he continues playing this system. If he plays to our strengths then we don’t need wing backs. We’ll be playing 4 at the back.
A managers preferred formation should not dictate the profile of player we target.
@PompeyPedro Yes it is! I was invited to an event on it a few years ago. In the Portsmouth naval dockyard, excellent event and people.
Always had a soft spot for Pompey. I’m sure you’ll be staying up, hopefully we’re playing you next season.
@KingCarlos1st@jwylde89 That’s his best position, box to box midfielder. He’s played all over the place for us. He’s not an attacking midfielder or winger or wing back. He dos okay there for NI
@brettholwe61722@jwylde89 I just like Molumby’s energy and work rate. I think that’s why I put him in here ahead of Mowatt. If I were to bring him in, I’d probably swap Diakite for him
