We live in a society dependent on science and technology, in which hardly anyone knows anything about science & technology. A recipe for disaster - Carl Segan
@elonmusk I think what Musk is trying to say is:
We have so many frontiers to conquer in space, instead of spending so much time in politics, If only we could clear out the noise and focus on what is really important for Humans as a whole..
#Yoga is one of the 6 classical schools of Hindu philosophy, paired with Samkhya, defined by Patanjali as "Yogas chitta vritti nirodhah".. the stilling of the mind's restless waves. Its 8 steps from ethics to deep meditation exist for one reason: moksha. Born from the Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita.
The Katha Upanishad puts it plainly: the body is a chariot, the self the rider, the intellect the charioteer, and the mind the reins. A restless mind means runaway horses. Yoga steadies those reins.

@orngecheetodust@ContraPoints Who is mocking the death of children in Palestine? I know I'm not, and many other Indians don't. You are blaming the entire diaspora as a whole for the actions of a few. If that is the case similar things can be said of others as well.
@Keshav_Lohiaaa I don't think that the team was laid off due to AI, seems to be an excuse. Their revenue has been trending downward for the last three years, largely because they're in the real estate business a sector that has struggled due to broader market conditions.
I think it's largely a socioeconomic issue that starts early in life. Many families mistakenly equate being loud, aggressive, or overly macho with confidence and future success. As a result, these traits are often encouraged rather than corrected.
The problem is that this mindset can foster antisocial behavior and a lack of consideration for shared public spaces and community well being. When millions of people adopt this attitude, it contributes to broader issues such as poor civic responsibility, disregard for public cleanliness, and weak social cohesion.
Improving this requires both cultural change and accountability. Strong enforcement of rules, meaningful penalties for public misconduct, and incentives that reward civic minded behavior can help shape better outcomes. In a country as large and densely populated as India, relying solely on voluntary compliance is unlikely to be enough.
