Yesterday, using multiple one-way attack surface drones, CENTCOM forces successfully struck a submarine and ship maintenance facility in Iran. Three Corsair unmanned surface vessels hit the port at Bandar Abbas Naval Base, marking the first time American forces have employed sea drones in combat operations. Last night’s strikes degraded Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial shipping.

At 5 p.m. ET today, U.S. Central Command forces began launching more strikes against Iran to continue degrading their ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships freely transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The Commander in Chief has directed the strikes to hold Iranian forces accountable.

Deeply saddened by the news of the passing of United States Senator Lindsey Graham. Lindsey was a true defender of freedom and the values that make our world safer.

He visited Ukraine ten times during the years of Russia's full-scale invasion and was here with our people when it was most needed. We remained in constant dialogue, and I will miss our conversations. We met twice in just the past week.

A staunch advocate for bipartisan and bicameral support for Ukraine, in recent weeks, he had been working on important initiatives that could help bring peace closer, including stronger sanctions against Russia. We will always be especially grateful for the recognition of our people and words of admiration for the courage of Ukraine’s defenders.

America and the world have lost a determined leader.

"To try to understand what might happen next, it is essential to remember an obvious truth: democracy is founded on an ideal of political equality. Such a system is far more likely to operate, as Aristotle himself noted, in a society with prosperous and confident middle and lower middle classes. That is what the growth of the 19th and 20th century delivered to the high-income countries. But this has now, to a significant extent, reversed for the old industrial working class. Today, AI threatens a significant portion of the educated middle class, too. Is this what Trump has ever offered? No. And, apart from all this, the old democracies suffer severely from fiscal overstretch. So, what is the future of liberal democracy? Embattled. If it is to survive, we will have to fight for it, again."

بدأت قوات القيادة المركزية الأمريكية في شن سلسلة من الضربات العنيفة ضد إيران، وذلك بهدف فرض ثمن باهظ رداً على استهداف ومهاجمة سفن تجارية يعمل على متنها مدنيون أبرياء في ممر مائي دولي. تأتي هذه الضربات الأمريكية رداً على هجمات إيرانية استهدفت ثلاث سفن تجارية كانت تعبر مضيق هرمز. يُعد هذا العدوان الإيراني الصريح تصرفاً غير مبرر وخطراً، ويمثل انتهاكاً واضحاً لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار.

Ukraine has exceeded every expectation in terms of liberating their country from Russian invasion and is worthy of continued increased support. My Russia sanctions bill with Senator Blumenthal can make a real difference. The legislation - with wide and deep bipartisan support - would allow President Trump to put tariffs on the top countries that buy cheap Russian oil and natural gas to prop up Putin’s war machine.

In my opinion, this summer is the time to go all in to put pressure on Putin to get to the peace table and end the bloodbath.
