@ethanhgardner This was even true in the 90s (Reston native here)…I raised my kids in a less competitive area of VA. Such a nicely balanced life with time for rigor in curriculum, sports, music, scouts, leadership opportunities, and friends! Competitive in college with their NOVA peers.

My biggest pet peeve is people using basic math/arithmetic as an analogy for something being objectively correct. Math *is* fundamentally logical, but it is *not* fundamentally objective. It’s all about the axioms you choose to operate under (1/7)

@MLenhartSLP I copy the ref info for anything I download to my computer to Zotero and then put the PDF in a categorized folder on my iPad in Notability (free app). I name the note with the author and year. I use an Apple Pencil to highlight and annotate as I read.
