Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat organized a one-day workshop on “Conduct Rules and Basics of Disciplinary Proceedings” for faculty members, officers, and staff of the Institute. The workshop was conducted by Shri N. S. Bisht, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of India, who served as the Resource Person. Shri Bisht provided valuable insights into the conduct rules applicable to government servants and explained the procedural aspects of disciplinary proceedings with practical examples, enabling participants to gain a clear understanding of administrative norms and responsibilities.
The programme was graced by Prof. J.N.Patel,Prof. Ravi Kant, Dean (Planning & Development) and Shri K. K. Singh, Registrar, SVNIT Surat, who highlighted the significance of adherence to conduct rules and disciplinary procedures for ensuring transparency, accountability, and institutional integrity. More than 35 faculty members, officers, and staff members actively participated in the workshop. The interactive sessions and discussions helped in clarifying doubts and strengthening the understanding of disciplinary mechanisms and ethical conduct in public service. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Shardul Vikram, Deputy Registrar (Establishment), who expressed gratitude to the resource person, dignitaries, organizers, and participants for making the workshop a success.
