We are a group of 6th form students from across Eden #cumbria. Our aim is to show how small acts of kindness can make a positive impact on mental health.
We want to promote using social media in a positive way & believe spending time with friends, family and studying is really important. That’s why we can’t monitor our acc all the time, but we will try to tweet & retweet when we can. Thanks for your support #shareasmile#cumbria
Next in the five ways to wellbeing is BE ACTIVE....Regular physical activity is associated with lower rates of depression and anxiety across all age groups. What’s your favourite walk or activity #cumbria?
@ActiveCumbria
How do you look after you?
Self care can be super simple things like taking a walk, reading a book or listening to your favourite playlist.
Anything that helps YOU unwind and relax, there no right or wrong it’s just what works for you!

5 ways to wellbeing - Learning!
We know it’s the summer & school is over. But learning doesn’t have to be academic, you can learn a new skill, watch a TED talk on Youtube or just pick up a book, read it for fun & lose yourself in the moment. #WednesdayWisdom#cumbria
The weather isn’t brilliant at the moment, a great way to relax & unwind indoors is to read. Research shows reading is great for many things including reducing stress & anxiety.
Get down to your local book store or library & grab a good book today
