Caleb won 7th grade boy athlete of the year for DMS! His coach was right…he played three sports and never missed a day of practice! He proved his commitment to each sport (football, basketball, and track) and did so well. Keep working hard bud! @DMSViking_ATH @qb1_caleb2

2nd grade is diving deep into ELA 2.6F & 2.8B! Teachers unpacked TEKS, built success criteria, and selected texts. Ms. Clark modeled how to teach students to annotate using color to distinguish between feelings, explanations, and text evidence. Way to go, CSE! @DrAprudhomme

✨ We wrapped up our last guided observations today with the amazing @whitney_larocca . RLA teachers from Heritage Rose, Burton, and Goodman lit up the room with their energy and passion. We can’t wait to see how they level up writing instruction this year. 📝 #FBISDLiteracy

Mrs. Voelkel modeled a wonderful lesson connected to our TEK on analyzing plot. She modeled annotating a passage. We planned our rubric, SCR question for our CFA. This led to extension activity ideas on students that show mastery of the TEK. Proud of our 5th grade crew!
