@DOEChancellor@NYCSchools@NYCMayorsOffice@NYCMayor@nycgov What about D75 students that are aging out this June?
Where are the guidelines for districts to extend education for 21 yr olds to get make the in person education they have missed out on these past 2 school years?
@NYCSchools@DOEChancellor Really Mr. Chancellor!
My 21 yr old Autistic daughter (D75)who is aging out this June, has missed out on vital hands on robust Vocational Education. She has definitely regressed remotely. Please extend D75 mandated age out of 21yrs. Our D75 young adults deserve it.
Don’t leave o
@DOEChancellor Please extend mandatory age out of 21yrs. for D75 students!
My Autistic daughter who remains remote has missed so much of her hands on Vocational education being remote these past 2 school years. Remote is just not how she learns, but I don’t feel it’s safe to send her back yet.
@DOEChancellor How about D75 students with many severe special needs (Autism etc.)who’s parents have decided to keep them remote, seems they are taking a back seat to in person learners. And what about D75 students who are aging out in June? Are you extending age out? They’ve missed so much!
@DOEChancellor What about students due to age out of D75 this June? Are you extending their eligibility to stay additional school years to make up for all the in person education that is so crucial to them. It’s called Compensatory education!
It’s costing me $3,000 for an Education Atty.
@DOEChancellor@NYCSchools Chancellor Please reconsider your decision on the November 15 only opt in date!
Giving parents an ultimatum regarding making this decision so early in the school year is just adding to our stress level, especially after all the sacrifices we’ve made to keep our families safe.
