An 8 year old boy from Ingushetia threw himself into a river to save his drowning friend.
His friends suggested running and alerting an adult, he said “aren’t we men?” and jumped in, he managed to save his friend, but his life was lost in the process.
Thousands of people from the Caucasus came to his funeral, his courage and honour united Chechens, Dagestanis, Ingush and other muslim majority caucus republics.
