Looking forward to the talks from the upcoming roundtable session “Queering Feminism(s), Neoliberalism, and the Commodification of Intersectionality” I am co-chairing at this year’s NeMLA conference.

Feeling accomplished!! Presented my paper on the intersectional examinations of representations of Muslim women in TV series in the US and the UK at the @AEJMC conference.

@helloiammariam It sucks but I appreciate you bringing it up. Its a reproduction of orientalist based constructs of unveiling linked with expectations of feminity and sexuality in Muslim women. I discussed this a little bit in a recent paper and now I want to write about "unveiling" in depth.
Until I get to work with real clients, I'll be revisiting my work-especially when the client is as lovely and beautiful as Ashton! Seriously, how adorable are they and this pic 😍♥️

@veruka2 I understand the need to not hand out grades and how this transition is difficult for uni's and profs but it's become overwhelming to try and submit the best work, esp. w/uncertainty abt. future classes, graduation, etc.
@veruka2 Wow you are amazing. I'm a graduate student and have received messages of support from most of my instructors but the transition to online has only created more work and burdens, which if we don't compete will result in lower grades or taking an incomplete. Hardly a solution.
