What is so interesting about Great Whites is that, unlike most fish, they are warm blooded. This means that they can regulate their own body temperature and adapt to different water temperatures.
Great White sharks prefer warm, salty, temperate coastal seas. This is why they're mostly found along the coasts of Australia, South Africa, California and the northeastern United States
Unfortunately, even though Great Whites are at the top of the food chain and aren't hunted by anything else, because of humans they have become an endangered species.
