We, the UniXNU team (@bluse50 and @sharky_dev) got iPadOS 17 running natively on the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

We ported Mu-Silicium for UEFI and heavily patched both the XNU kernel and iPadOS 17 from the 2017 iPad Pro, enabling native execution on 4KB-page Snapdragon hardware without any virtualization or shadow page tables.

We also built UniXNU, an OpenCore-like bootloader providing a unified driver-loading interface for iOS, iPadOS, and potentially macOS, eliminating the need for per-device firmware modifications.

It is currently extremely laggy due to the lack of a GPU driver. @bluse50 is actively working on it, and smoothness will improve drastically once completed.

This work is completely independent of the closed-source HackiOS project, and in fact, we started before they did.

We will open-source all repositories once the GPU driver is ready, expected within 3 days. Soon you'll be able to try it on your Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro or team up with your AI agent to port it to other arm64 devices!
