SAM: Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t. Because they were holding on to something.
FRODO: What are we holding on to, Sam?
SAM: That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.
Lost in all the lies and conspiracies is the fact that a large portion of Americans believe there’s a group of people so desperately hungry they’ve resorted to eating household pets and their response is “deport them!” or “lock them up!” rather than “let’s get them some food.”
If you aren't up watching Duke and Northwestern go to OT at 11:40pm local time on a Friday in a practice field along the shore of Lake Michigan I better not see you tweeting about how much you love football.
Oh you want to change plans? Do something completely different than the logistics I’ve envisioned & as such cemented in my head? Sure that’s fine. I can be normal about that. Please excuse me for 10 minutes. If you hear screaming it is unrelated
@AmericanAir - not super great customer service to be on a back-and-forth chat for 30 minutes only to be told to submit a form. Is there a way to talk to someone who can actually help me in live time?

My final thread of the day. Biden's stutter:
If he plans to remain the nominee, which he seems to, he needs to get adult stutterers as advisors ASAP. I'm an adult stutterer. He doesn't have to choose me, but somebody. Fluent speakers don't understand the complexities at play. 1/
@British_Airways Yes, on the computer, on a mobile device, on the app, on a different browser, etc. I've gotten the error message above and the one attached. Can't even get to the website anymore. I cleared cookies and gave up 🤷♀️
@scullawei@British_Airways It's been like this for a week straight for me. Now I can't even get to the British Airways website. I have given up and just booked on American.
Don't blame the Arizona Supreme Court for its ruling finding the 1864 abortion ban enforceable today. The court did what it's supposed to do. It interpreted the statutes and determined the constitutionality of the laws. It did not set the policy.
The AZ GOP legislature in 2022, just two years ago, passed a bill restricting abortions to within 15 weeks of pregnancy. However, because the MAGA legislature knew there were pending cases before the newly constituted conservative Supreme Court that could overturn Roe v Wade, it included a provision that should Roe be overturned, the 15 week ban goes away and the 1864 total ban is the law.
The Republican legislature knew exactly what it was doing. Then Gov Ducey signed the bill into law and he KNEW exactly what it said. AZ GOP created this and now they will reap what they sow. Any one of them could have stopped this and they didn't because they support a total abortion ban.
Do not let them change their position now. Do not let them wiggle out of this problem they created. If it wasn't politically bad for them now, Republicans would still want a total abortion ban.
