PLEASE stay away from Hammonds Plains road ! Getting word people are driving down there this morning .. just to view the damage done by the wildfires. People in the area are scrambling to get their lives back on track, and they don't need you gawking
Hey Halifax, the amazing family-owned nursery Bloom Greenhouse on Hammonds Plains Road is open again! They have hanging baskets BOGO this weekend. And plenty of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, veggies and more. #Buylocal

We've got reports of a 5-car pileup on the 102 inbound at the Kearney Lake Exit.
There were 2 collisions outbound earlier this morning.
This is snarling traffic in both directions starting at exit 2 of the 102. Drive with caution and AVOID the area if possible
Every politician (municipal, provincial, and federal) should be required to volunteer at a hospital for a month and be a substitute teacher for another month. They'd never take that system or the people who worked there for granted again and it would be funded properly.

WATCH: René Roy, resident of Port aux Basques & editor-in-chief of the town’s local paper @WreckhousePress, shares the latest on the impact Fiona had on the community and the circumstances surrounding the death of a 73-year-old resident who was swept out to sea @HfxHabby
For context, this is normally a road and a parking lot. There are dunes, a beach, a wharf under that water. This is a harbour, not open ocean. The second bright yellow building normally has a deck off back where you can jump 10 feet into the water. Absolutely devastating.
Due to Hurricane Fiona, for the safety of our guests and crew, @WestJet will suspend Halifax operations from the evening of Friday, September 23 to the morning of Sunday, September 25. Learn more about all impacted flights: https://t.co/DYr4pcSUi4
