Passing a stopped school bus with flashing red lights can lead to fines ($400-$4,000), 6 points, and up to 6 months jail. Endangering kids is not worth it. Even if you weren't driving, the vehicle's owner can be charged. Stop for school buses! ππ

ππ¨ #SchoolBusSafetyWeek β Why do school buses stop at railway crossings? π It's the law! Drivers must stop, look, and listen for trains to ensure safety. This rule dates back to 1938 after a tragic crash in Utah. It adds a few seconds but keeps students safe on every ride. πΈ
ππ #SchoolBusSafetyWeek Q: Why no seat belts on school buses?
A: Unlike cars, buses use "compartmentalization" for safetyβhigh-backed, padded seats that are closely spaced and securely anchored. This design protects kids on every ride and allows quicker exits in emergenciesπΈβ¨
