🛑 When a school bus flashes red lights and extends its stop arm — you must stop.
It’s the law, and it saves lives.

In Ontario, ignoring it means:
💸 $400–$2,000 fine (first offence)
🚫 6 demerit points

Let’s protect kids with every stop. 💛 #SchoolBusSafetyWeek #SafeStops

❄️ The first snowfall is here, and it’s magical—but also a reminder to drive safely! 🛑 Stop for school buses, 👀 watch for kids (snow makes them harder to see), and 🚗 take it slow on slippery roads. Check for delays/cancellations here: https://t.co/TNE1WtxeBi ❤️✨

🚍✨ #SchoolBusSafetyWeek is over, but school bus safety never stops! 🛑

Buses on the road, kids on the move, and changing weather mean we must stay alert. Remember, if the bus lights are flashing, STOP—it’s the law.

🙌 Thank you for keeping students safe! 🚌💛

🚍✨ #SchoolBusSafetyWeek ✨🚍

Q: Why are school buses yellow?
A: "National School Bus Glossy Yellow" was chosen in 1939 for safety! 🟡👀 It's easy to spot in your peripheral vision, visible in poor weather, and has high contrast for better readability. 🚌💛

🚍✨ #SchoolBusSafetyWeek ✨🚍

Passing a stopped school bus with flashing red lights can lead to fines ($400-$4,000), 6 points, and up to 6 months jail. Endangering kids is not worth it. Even if you weren't driving, the vehicle's owner can be charged. Stop for school buses! 🚌💛

Cross safely in front of the bus: 🚸 Take 10 big steps ahead, wait for the driver's signal, and always walk—never run. Stay alert—the driver will give a thumbs up 👍 when it’s safe, and will honk if there’s danger. Let’s keep students safe! 🚌💛

🚍✨ #SchoolBusSafetyWeek ✨🚍
It's #SchoolBusDriverandMonitorAppreciationDay! 🎉 Thank you to the drivers and monitors who keep our students safe and start and end their days with a smile. 😊🚌 You make a difference every day. For all you do… THANK YOU! ❤️👏

🚍🚨 #SchoolBusSafetyWeek – Why do school buses stop at railway crossings? 🛑 It's the law! Drivers must stop, look, and listen for trains to ensure safety. This rule dates back to 1938 after a tragic crash in Utah. It adds a few seconds but keeps students safe on every ride. 🚸

[Sharp Bus Lines @SharpBus]

🚍🔍 #SchoolBusSafetyWeek Q: Why no seat belts on school buses?
A: Unlike cars, buses use "compartmentalization" for safety—high-backed, padded seats that are closely spaced and securely anchored. This design protects kids on every ride and allows quicker exits in emergencies🚸✨
