@SteveMicks86@LavalaMichelle@MrJoKeR604 We had some idea, but not full scope. And yes, that’s how science works. We learn, we evolve, we tweak our understanding of a subject, rinse and repeat. The virus evolves at the same time, with the later variants being much more viral and transmissible. Welcome to real world.
@vincent_garceau@LavalaMichelle@MrJoKeR604 I’m sure the population of Canadians who survived, but now are living with one complication or another, are so thankful for you lot. Depressed about long term damage to their body from the virus? Friends and family who died from COVID? Cheer up, it’s only 1% who die!!
@vincent_garceau@LavalaMichelle@MrJoKeR604 That’s not true. Transmission rates were high amongst unvaccinated, and when the uptake for the vaccine improved, it was vaxxed breakthrough infections due to new mutations (omicron, delta). The point of healthy ppl vaxxing is stopping the virus from spreading to the vulnerable.
@SteveMicks86@LavalaMichelle@MrJoKeR604 Ya we were doing that at the beginning when we thought the virus was transmissible like that. When we learned that covid doesn’t transmit like that, they changed their advisory accordingly. That’s how science works dipshit.
@LavalaMichelle@MrJoKeR604 Sorry your parents never taught you consider how others are affected by your actions. Life must be bliss with all that empathy to spare.
@rationalposts@CBCNews Then leave and go to another county. No one’s forcing you to stay here. Let people who actually want to live here come and work hard for their life.
@rationalposts@CBCNews We don’t have laws like the US limiting distribution of immigration by country to a specific percentage. Even still, more than 60% of Canada’s population is white. This white replacement scaremongering is pretty racist.
@Schulzy12@ShaunMcRae6@LPool_07 @SailsAloha @mikethenavyguy How do you pick the “good one” if you don’t know which one has a higher or lower rejection rate, and with respect to what types of claims? This is data that consumers don’t have, and it would be crucial to know if ABC inc. is more or less likely to give me grief for my claims.
@tobydoodle24@hutchinson@MeekoPollante@Banks June 2022. We’re in November 2024. It’s down to 2.44% now. Just so we’re clear, inflation rate is a derivative that cumulates price increases, assuming no other change. Where prices are higher now is because that good still suffers from limited supply for its demand.
@Zorpheous@TheoMoudakis@TorontoStar Which side couldn’t stop talking about Haitians eating cats & dogs? Whose political rally had a speaker calling Puerto Rico an island of garbage? Which side cried bloody murder about Twitter’s potential political bias, and now applauds X’s blatant favouritism? 🤦
@ShaunMcRae6@LPool_07@Schulzy12 @SailsAloha @mikethenavyguy What you’re citing is saying they want some sort of public option insurance combined with flexible healthcare offerings. You want less government, and that sounds antithetical to your position. Do you separate govt as health insurance provider vs. healthcare provider?
