Met a large developer in Mumbai, who does Business differently, and I wanna share why.

Everyone in the industry knows Mumbai is usually Brownfield projects (redevelopment of an existing land parcel and physical asset) and very rarely Greenfield projects (start from scratch on an empty piece of land).

This developer was no different, with more than 10Mn sqft across Mumbai and UAE!

But here’s the crazy part. They first always build A-grade housing for all the people they are displacing, and only after all the families shift to their new housing, do they start with the excavation ifself.

Runs the company with an iron grip, knows all the ins and outs of what happens on his site, is principled and empathetic.

Absolutely love talking to such leaders in the city.

@harshil3004 Mirrors were initially placed in elevators to make the travel time feel shorter and also cause some people had claustrophobia in such an enclosed space. This has also become a new default over time.
