What you did here @EaseMyTrip is nothing less than fraud !

When @PreetiSahay1 initially searched and selected the flight on your website, the fare displayed was ₹8,350 per passenger. She proceeded to the payment page based on this price.

However, at the time of payment, she was charged almost double the displayed fare per passenger. At no point during the checkout flow was a clear and prominent change in fare shown to her before she completed the payment. No warning or intimation of "fare revised" was shown whatsoever.

Immediately after the transaction (within a minute), she went back to your website and checked the same flight again. The fare was once again being displayed as ₹8,350 per passenger. I have attached screenshots clearly showing this behaviour.

Even if one were to assume that the airline applied dynamic pricing and the fare momentarily increased, the following discrepancy remains unexplained:

If the updated fare received from the airline was already ₹17,122 per passenger at the time of my payment, how is it that your own website continued to display the original ₹8,350 fare per passenger again just minutes later?

This clearly indicates that the fare displayed to the customer on your platform was not aligned with the amount actually charged.

To be very clear:
•I relied on the price shown on your booking portal.
•I was not made aware of any final price change before authorising the payment. No price revision message whatsoever.
•I was charged a significantly higher amount than what was shown.
•Your portal continued to display the lower fare immediately after my transaction.

It is not acceptable to attribute this entirely to airline-side dynamic pricing when your own platform continues to reflect the lower fare immediately after charging a higher amount.

She trusted the price shown on your website and proceeded with the payment in good faith. The subsequent price behaviour on your own platform strongly contradicts the explanation that the higher fare was already the prevailing price.

This raises serious concerns regarding misleading price display and lack of transparent fare confirmation before payment.

I request the following on priority:

1.A written and detailed explanation of how your pricing system displayed ₹8,350 per passenger both before and after her transaction while charging a substantially higher amount during payment (more than double)

2.Clarification on what exact fare was received from the airline at the time of my booking.

3.Immediate resolution of the excess amount charged to me.

Please note that I have complete evidence in the form of screenshots. In case this matter is not resolved promptly and satisfactorily, I reserve my right to initiate proceedings before the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum.

Absolutely unacceptable from @EaseMyTrip and @airindia. Fare shown during booking was LOWER, but the FINAL payment charged was HIGHER. This is misleading pricing and a serious payment irregularity. Demand an explanation and correction.
