One year ago today was the day I was laid off from my fulltime contract role since the division I was contributing to was loss making.
I had a crazy downward spiral following that, every aspect of life suddenly took a toll. It wwsn related directly to the layoff but in general the time was bad. I had a small accident, finances took a toll, and I was emotionally and mentally drained and starved.
I've done a lot better since then, I guess. It still gives me chillz when I look back on those days. It was a terrific month just after my < 2 weeks of banger bday.
Equally grateful to everyone who stayed and left since then.
Starting a new position today. Will be moving to Bangalore in December, as it’s remote for the first three months. I’ve not been posting much lately since I was focused on job prep and health. Wishing you all a great Monday!
@buildingcoolshi Hmm, some part rational somepart not so rational, i liked blue color and remeber specifically bcz i was obsessed with sky color blue, now i am bit obsessed with black(specifically clothes), because it gives me more chances to pair with other clothes and still look good.
@waitin4agi_ Nothing inheritly bad in cheating, it usually the narrative people build around it.
Life is usually about tradeoffs.
Like Varun you made yt channel helps with distribution and marketing, but for trad-biz person, it will looks like cutting corners or taking shortcuts.
@Arkapravaroy7@tbpn@realsohamparekh It is not. he is probably lieing about being good in each individual job, i have worked with moonlighters, they constantly ship buggy code, ugly ui, etc etc.
We just kept them because founder is not willing to pay more to fulltime employees.
Everything else is narrative shift.
@waitin4agi_ my bet would be ppl are more willing to create their own apps in future than using other ppl's app. I believe highly personalized app will beat every app in marketplace. Also, giving ppl sense of "making something useful to them" aka "ikea effect"..
