Google Cloud absolutely killed our startup and ruined our startup and destroyed us mentally, financially and physically. The horrible safety standards set by AI Studio and Google Cloud led to an unauthorised bill of 20k USD (originally 80k USD) within a few early morning hours of 20th May. Since then, they have denied any data showing any laxity from our side.

Our normal usage had been 250 USD per month before that. Users worldwide have incurred similar bills and we thought that peacefully putting our cases with Google will lead us to some resolution. But Google has turned out to be the most horrible organisation without an ounce of credibility and care.

I have developed apps on Firebase and Google Cloud platform since 2016 and has trusted it as the flagbearer of good things in tech but Google has turned out to be the most monster and evil platform and comparable to the most corrupt and blatantly evil platform only pursuing profits. Nobody on Google Cloud showed an ounce of care or support. I got in touch with a senior employee who showed remarkable care but he couldn’t help as Google employees in charge assume themselves to be the God amongst men. I hope that none of the startup ever again believe in Google Cloud as a platform.

The time of customer support in the times of AI has gone. Thank you Google for killing our startup @sunjalearning. Due to this financial burden, we are shutting down our startup. The years of financial debt that this Google bill will take years of our effort to pay back. Since we were bootstrapped, it has also killed our morale mentally. Hope that the flagbearers of AI @Anthropic @OpenAi and open source models don’t go down this evil path of blatant monstrosity. We had developed 4 fully functional ios apps, 1 android app and three web platforms around interactive learning for kids, exam preparation.

Pls keep all of your stack away from @Google as far as possible. We have been in a support group where there are 40 such cases and many others on Reddit. Those who could get senior Google Employees to help got 100% refunds. But Google left those who could not to rot and die like germs.

And for a moment, I will have to take a step back and look at rejoining a job full time to get back in shape financially. I will retake this path and I hope evil companies like Google do not retain the trust of startups who believe it to be the flagbearer of good in tech. Also reiterating that I reached out to 100 plus Google AI studio and Google Cloud employees on X to help and show us an escalation route. But barring one super caring person, no one did. Obviously no one is obligated, but the Google of the last decade is gone. And the people who are at Google assume themselves to be on a high pedestal. Most of the support chats have been condescending assuming us as criminals who deserve to be kicked.

Will look to take up some consultancy projects till I am able to get a full time job back. Before this, I had been working as the head of mobility and analytics at Tagbox, an IoT startup which was acquired by TVSMotors in 2023. I worked at TVS motors in digital and AI team for one year and started my own startup one year back with my cofounder who studied in the same college and worked in the same companies. This will mark a break in our startup journey for a foreseeable future. This looked like the best of times for changing the world but money can force you in strange ways that we never thought possible. Hopefully, the break will be a short one. And we also want to reiterate that none of our product were just vibe coded ones. Each one took our full soul and effort to develop although at 100x the pace from pre AI times. For interactive learning and storytelling apps, we have started to refund and we will no longer put stories and interactive concepts on the app. The app will be there on the AppStore and Google play.

Recently switched to GPT 5.6 Sol on Codex for all my projects and it has been reliable for all my hard tasks including 3D animations. Also have to worry and plan about credits a lot less now. And the frontend work auto defaults to much better design now.

If Anthropic collabs with Midjourney and bundles it into Claude code with multimodal capabilities in upcoming models, we are looking at AGI for everyone. The most beautiful outcome we are all waiting for. @AnthropicAI @midjourney

Congrats on the launch. We are building self study learning platforms for students. And the biggest problem is fact-checking everything. Because even 0.1% accuracy is a major flaw. We have to restructure pipelines for docs, structures, linkages. We aim to lower time with @vorfluxai
