The Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) has served notices to more than 100 hotels and restaurants across Punjab, directing them to immediately stop dressing staff in uniforms that resemble the official attire of advocates.
The council said the practice could misrepresent the legal profession and has asked businesses to explain the use of such uniforms while providing employee details. PbBC warned that continued v!olations could result in legal action against owners, directors, shareholders, and employees.
Chairman Abbas Ali Chadhar said the move is intended to protect the dignity and identity of advocates' and judges' official dress.
