Marathas are indeed Kuṭuṁbīs, but Rājpūts are not Kṣatriyas either.

They are just a branch derived from union of Kṣatriyas with Kuṭuṁbīs, not the Kṣatriyas themselves.

Also, Guhila Kṣatriyas were not Sūryavaṃshī.

Śāstrika Brāhmaṇas still declare Kṣatriyas are no more.
