the past few days i've taken a step back from staying informed to gather my composure as someone who's been affected by racial discrimination since birth
seen alot of communities during this time who i'll no longer support for not taking a stance on the ignorance of some members
We need more @AaronRodgers12 and less @drewbrees. Ignorance is not an excuse. You have to hand off the ball and throw to those same teammates you refuse to stand up for.
@honeebell Just catching up on this because I missed gamefest or whatever it was shown in...
She def looks young and mostly looks like she has baby fat BUT only from that 1 angle I saw.
That being said yes some people do have baby fat despite being older but I don't think it's as common
@Tjonesonthenba Not taking a guard unless there's a clear tier break OR the 76ers have to sign and trade Grimes/Oubre or lose them for nothing
Between Embiid and PG health and the frontcourt in general having Maxey and VJ for the future backcourt, get a BIG with multiple tools/skills
Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.
Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.
Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."
Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.
They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.
One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."
Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.
That's the metered intelligence business model.
And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.
Yeah I dont think I'll ever forgive @dmorey for needing depth around 3 max contracts, having McCain making like 4M max and trading him for a theoretical player in a draft DURING NIL era where guys will likely go back to school for a chance at going higher in the next draft
@DerekBodnerNBA@PHLY_Sixers Last year Maxey talked about having an identity no matter who was available/playing.
How well do you think that played out this year and what changes/improvements do you hope to see next year with limited ways to improve outside of sign and trades or trading a big contract?
@kcjones1498@Tjonesonthenba I dont think OKC or the Spurs need to double if healthy because most of their guards are above average to great defenders as well.
They aren't an Atlanta team without many ballhandlers or 76ers who have 4 players and no depth Or a Cleveland team where you can scheme easy for
@kcjones1498@Tjonesonthenba Stats can be misleading and are also based on who you play more often. Teams can have better stats by stomping on teams worse than them then they face a stronger opponent and cannot do what they normally do will look worse.
Brunson wont be as effective vs OKC or SAS
@SpikeEskin Wish we got an answer to know the likely direction
I wouldn't say embiid isn't a hard worker BUT is injury prone and let's his emotions dictate his play.
He has a good individual work ethic with his trainer Drew Hanlen but it seems the opposite with the 76ers staff/team
They said both Wemby and Chet needed to put on weight once they got to the league for the physicality from Embiid, Jokic, etc.
Wemby wanted to be great, worked with Hakeem, KG, and monks in the offseason wanting to be the greatest.
Dunno wtf Chet did to advance his game
@PHLSixersNation Getting depth a.k.a. 5-6 non star/no core players who you can have a lineup of them and they can play at an average to above average level
Then the stars/core players are what takes them over the ceiling
@8Fourteen They can have depth IF they're willing to pay the tax penalties
THAT is the effect of the new CBA
The issue is ownership hasn't been willing to pay fir depth so you have to trade a massive contract to break it up
@MichaelRedd_ Winning will always be the seperator. You dont play a whole season tk at the end not win.
Now if that wasnt a factor then yes more sustained success
@TrillBroDude Even shorter list for me b4 the combine which I havent seen
Only trading up for Yaxel, Morez, Mara
Taking if Available Cenac for tools/long term upside/vision, Jefferson for more impact now.
I'm prioritizing defensive versatility/impact as no small G has won w/o it
@TyJohnsonNews Can't feel sorry for pistons fans as they've been actively giving a reason to not like them by dying on the Tobias hill
But hey they were the 1 seed and came up short in the 2nd round like the 76ers did vs ATL. give him that next contract and/or Duren as your 2nd option
@Beardaknowledge Bad blood between Tobias and sixers fans
Detroit and other media insert themselves when they didnt need to siding with tobias
Sixers fans are proven right that in big games he disappears
Now y'all are asking to move on after taking credit when he beats in bad teams
@sleeper76ers@SixersShowYo@Sixerdaily@SixersLead@SixersJustin@PhillyDunk@Sleeper_Hoops PG+ for 11 & Butler+ IF warriors want to have another chance at a run with Curry & Dray
PG+ for Jerami grant + picks & filler
PG+ for Trey Murphy 3rd + 1 of DJM/Poole (76ers likely give more picks)
PG+ for some 3team grabbing a F to replace him and a C for non embiid games+
@bdetrick Best options are either
* trade PG while his value is high for 3 young rotational frontcourt players for non Embiid games, or
* keep PG but know that big 3s only won with depth so spend into the tax to get 5 more functional players
1 is more likely than the other
@mlewy3@KyleNeubeck The drafted well and then let those guys walk for nothing because they didn't develop quickly enough OR at all here due to coaching. I've been getting reminded constantly from spurs fans this year https://t.co/iWUQEHcnIj
