@COPHE_news@DougRichey Missouri’s technical college @statetechmo doesn’t use the term “training”. I was told years ago “we train dogs” may not be totally accurate but it’s stuck with me. We educate for careers not jobs. May be why we are consistently best in the country…
President Dr. Shawn Strong recently gave a behind-the-scenes tour of the Willet Automation Center, that is currently under construction! Stay tuned for more updates as progress continues!

Safety Village is a one-of-a-kind mock neighborhood right here on the State Tech campus. Recently, our first-year Electrical Technology students wired up a house — and then our second-year students came in to inspect their work. It’s hands-on education in action.
Great visit with our Congressman. If I didn’t look like I was hit by a Mack truck (fall on ice) I’d be in the picture. Thank you for spending afternoon with us.

First views of indoor HVAC Lab @statetechmo . Will be two stories when complete and able to recreate any temperate condition from 0 to 100 degrees on either floor. Definitely going big on this one….
Great to be on campus in Linn this morning to celebrate the donation of an F-150 Truck to @statetechmo's Automotive Technology program.
Career technical education is critical to workforce development and growing Missouri’s economy. I appreciate companies like @Ford for supporting these programs and students.
Exciting news! Today, Governor-elect Mike Kehoe visited our campus alongside leaders from Ford Motor Company to donate a brand new truck for our Automotive & Automotive Collision Program! Thank you, Governor-elect Kehoe and Ford, for investing in the future of our students!

That @statetechmo mo is just so impressive at everything. It kinda proves the theory that if you’re working them hard enough kids ain’t got time to protest.
