@Acyn@AntiToxicPeople One of the many reasons you need to vote NO on Mr. Blanch’s nomination, @SenToddYoung . Start with a clean slate and insist on a serious candidate.
Wolf: What hasn’t been discussed publicly, to my knowledge, is the fact that, in my opinion, President Trump committed a crime in negotiating the settlement agreement in this case and it’s possible that Mr. Blanche would be found to be a co-conspirator in that crime. Let me try to explain…
Congress enacted a statute that makes it illegal for the president or the vice president to directly or indirectly request the initiation or termination of a tax investigation. There’s a potential five-year prison term for violating that statute.
Donald Trump would not have immunity from criminal prosecution for violating that statute in this case because he filed this lawsuit in his personal capacity. Therefore, negotiating the settlement was not an official act for which he has immunity as president.
So, in this case, he was negotiating essentially with himself. As Judge Williams said in Trump v. IRS—a case in which I’m one of the 35 plaintiffs who, through excellent lawyers, persuaded the court to reopen the case and find that this was not a genuine case—it wasn’t a real case or controversy that was legitimately in federal court. It was a collusive case brought for an improper purpose: to get a personal benefit for President Trump, his family, and his allies.
Really wish @AGToddRokita would stop wasting Indiana AG time and resources chasing crimes that only seem to exist in his mind. Mr. Rokita seems to keep thinking he’s a federal employee for some reason
@Wh4th3fu@NBCNews@DanLamothe Might this be a special case in that pilots and crew presumably need unique skills and security clearances to operate the craft?
@RobMKendall Isn’t this the new way to “lead” in these United States? Throw out an executive order and the laws be damned. Seems to me that @GovBraun is just following the new norms we see coming out of Washington DC. See you in court after the damage is done.
By refusing Patriot missiles, which are purely defensive, to Ukraine, Donald Trump is making it abundantly clear to the entire world that he has no problem at all with Vladimir Putin murdering innocent Ukrainian children and their families in their beds. Harsh, I know, but true.
The evidence has ALWAYS shown Davey Hearn's innocence
The real vandal is the Trump admin blaming Americans for its failures: a botched installation that left the Reflecting Pool filled w/peeling paint & algae
@CBSEveningNews tonight @ 6, I explain why this is far from over -TN
@RepHouchin@POTUS Hoping a day will come in which you, @RepHouchin, take back the reins of a true congressional rep. and legislate rather than look to @potus to create policy. This is YOUR job. His is to execute the laws put forth by you. Nothing against veterans, but seems a bit DEI-ish to me.
If you're wondering what party will help you keep your Social Security benefits and which one is trying to take them away, this is a Republican on the Senate floor TODAY:
@SenToddYoung This Hoosier voter thinks SAVE Act will further decrease the already paltry number of Indiana voters for no good reason. It’s simply a solution in search of a problem that does not exist. Thought the GOP was about less regulation, especially from the federal government.
@SenToddYoung Why aren’t you asking to ban the President and his family from buying stocks? Because you think he should be allowed to buy stocks, or just because you are submissive to Trump?
@tylerpager@peterbakernyt@EricLiptonNYT@maggieNYT Just curious what happens after his term ends: if the plane is filled with secret comms and defense tech, can next president or Defense Dept. commandeer for national defense purposes? Seems like we’re paying more than it’s worth to make it comparable to earlier aircraft.
Our president took away funds from Americans just because they live in a state that voted against him? That violates his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed.

@RepHouchin@newsnationam Looking forward to to the day you “join” a middle of the road or left-leaning network. You know, the networks that most of your constituents subscribe to.
