As humans we have never sunk so low and I am ashamed. I am saddened by all the hate and all the violence in the world right now.

War is pointless. War is stupid. War is innocent people dying over political ambition and ego that ends up cyclical in the end and achieving nothing.

We need a Ceasefire in Gaza immediately and the hostages Hamas are holding released now.

We need to step up and help prevent any more killings in South Sudan and Ethiopia where people are killing each other over resources that could be provided by us in the West.

We need a ceasefire in Ukraine now. All this is, is the delusions of an old man in Russia trying to “rebuild” an idea that went out with collapse of the Soviet Union by bombing an innocent country killing thousands of innocent people forcing them to suffer for the ego and stupidity of the politicians in charge.

We needed all of this so many months ago but old hate, ego and sectarianism of political and religious leaders keep fuelling the hate and division, causing mass murder of innocent people instead.

Here at home we sit behind our screens and dehumanize people for their right to exist. It is wrong. It will lead to more division. To more violence. Opposing the killing of the innocent should never be a topic of controversy.

We have to make it. What will it take for us to shift the focus towards our similarities instead of our differences as humans? There is no excuse for advocating hate and violence. Dehumanizing each other for our beliefs and right to exist will just lead to more violence and division. The only way forward is to lead with our love. Only through love we will see each others suffering and open up the possibility for dialogue and compassion. I believe we have this capacity. We all have this responsibility. It’s the only way we can co-exist.

Many of these politicians have been in charge for far too long. The world has moved on and they are holding its evolution back. I believe young people should have a bigger voice in global politics democratically. Young politicians should be elected into parliament internationally as a percentage. That’s democracy. I believe we would not be in this position if a percentage of democratic decisions and bills passed had an influence from people under the age of 30.

If you want to do anything right now donate to WAR CHILD, UNICEF or a local charity providing aid to children. Help the children for they are the future. Change the future by protecting the future. Look at your politicians in the face, march, VOTE, donate. We must to better for each other and for peace.
