What’s on the menu for election night? Pizza, pizza, pizza! 🍕🍕 At North Homewood Pizza, owner Keith Calhoun said he’s been busy supporting several polling places early in the morning with pizza deliveries and serving voters throughout the day.
“ I just feel like I’m picking the lesser of two evils. But this plays a big part in what our future will look like, and I don’t want to struggle. Let’s just keep it a bean,” he said.
“But nobody knows what the outcome is going to be. It’s like a football game—you don’t know who’s gonna win until the game is over. Right now, this is a game, but a game of survival.”
In Homewood, the second floor of the library serves as a voting hub. Wildena Thompson, a poll worker there, said, “I wanted to make sure we get equal rights in this world and that we elect the right president who will help us, not harm us.”
