ACCURACY ALERT-

There is a video being shared on TikTok and Facebook that says Oxford Police left a child in a vehicle after a traffic stop early Monday morning. This is totally false! Oxford Police assisted the federal government by directing traffic at a traffic stop that they initiated. The Oxford Police officer never spoke to the individuals in the vehicle nor did he ever walk up to the vehicle. The officer simply parked in the road and directed traffic to keep the federal agents safe while they initiated the traffic stop in unmarked vehicles.

This video on TikTok is totally false! To the individual who uploaded the video- your media exemplifies how false information is passed around social media for clicks and likes; and people just believe it without question.

Whether you’re left leaning, or right leaning, or down the middle of the road, it doesn’t matter to me. This is not a political issue. We are a law-enforcement agency. We enforce the law and we will continue to enforce the law, and if that makes some of your heads explode, I really don’t give a damn.

For those who spread false information- I will not sit back and allow you to tarnish our officers with false allegations. Next time get your facts straight before pecking on the keyboard or uploading an unhinged video. And by the way, NO child was in the vehicle- only five adult males.
