A 5-year-old girl plunged 49 feet from a moving cruise ship into the open ocean. Her father heard his wife screaming and raced toward the railing, only to discover that their daughter was gone.
It happened aboard the Disney Dream near the Bahamas, where a family vacation took a terrifying turn when the little girl fell from the ship’s fourth deck.
When her father realized what had happened, he jumped overboard after her, plunging nearly 50 feet into the ocean. But when he surfaced, he couldn’t see his daughter anywhere.
He began desperately calling out for her, searching the water until he finally heard her calling back. He swam toward her and managed to reach her, but they were still stranded in the open ocean as the massive cruise ship began turning around.
For roughly 20 minutes, he kept his little girl afloat, holding her above the water until a rescue boat finally reached them and brought them back to safety.
Both survived, although the father suffered two fractures in his spine from the fall.
It takes an incredible amount of courage to jump nearly 50 feet into the open ocean, not knowing what awaits you below. But this father didn’t hesitate to put his own life on the line for his little girl. Thank God they both made it home.

This is way past the “consideration” phase - there was no “consideration” given when meshes were blindly inserted and caused catastrophic harm - these poor injured women living in daily pain need positive action now.

🔷As the statutory body bound by the UK Medical Devices Regulations
(UK MDR) 2002 to monitor post-market surveillance and ensure
#patientsafety, the #MHRA cannot legally ignore signal data that
fundamentally invalidates the original safety profile and patient
consent parameters of these devices
🚨The institutional protection of surgeons and the gaslighting of pelvic mesh victims is a well documented systemic failure.
🚨Specialised mesh centres cannot cope with complex removals or the ongoing physical and mental health needs of mesh injured patients.
💣 these mesh injured patients had a bomb dropped on their lives and it is utterly disgraceful that decades are passing and women are dying in agony whilst this avoidable harm is still being ‘considered’ - the apology was given SIX YEARS AGO https://t.co/n9naowblaD
The Cumberlege First Do No Harm Review made it clear:
the UK system failed tens of thousands of women.
🚨NHS specialised centres still face heavy criticism for struggling with complete removals from bone and organs.
We need redress now.

@SusanCowell I would strongly urge you to do it as some people have no symptoms of bowel cancer yet test positive. If it is caught early enough it is very treatable.
Such an incredibly moving speech by @IanByrneMP as the #HillsboroughLaw passed the Commons.
His words “justice, justice, justice…” — brought me to tears.
The bill includes a new statutory Duty of Candour for public officials: a legal requirement to act with honesty, transparency and full co-operation in inquiries and investigations.
This is a powerful step forward for accountability after so many years of fighting cover-ups and silence.
For the 97, their families, and everyone who has ever had to battle the system for truth.🙏

🚨 DEADLINE TODAY: The Patient Safety Commissioner has used her statutory powers to write to No.10 demanding answers on redress for mesh victims.
Women have been left to suffer their mesh injuries and fight adversarial systems alone for years.
Emerging new evidence confirms they’ll be ill for life — the mesh was never inert, as shown in the Sheffield University study.
Government must act now.

The Independent Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Review (the Cumberlege Review) previously,2020, recommended establishing a government-backed compensation and support scheme.
