Memo to BBC board: do not fold like ABC and CBS and Wall Street law firms when faced with Trump bully boy shakedown tactics. He does not to have a case, even in Florida. The Panorama splicing was a dumb mistake and the exec(s) responsible should have long ago been fired. There are serious issues in the BBC newsroom for the next DG to deal with but Tim Davie and the BBC board could make standing up to Trump and his $1bn lawsuit their finest hour
The Minister for Veterans this morning repeatedly refused to rule out former members of the IRA sitting on Labour’s proposed Legacy Commission

In June, a BBC teleprompter instructed presenter, Martine Croxall, to say ‘pregnant people’.
She, bravely, corrected this term by saying ‘women’.
Now she has been disciplined and suspended she should have been PROMOTED and Congratulated.
Shame on the BBC!
🚨BBC UPHOLDS COMPLAINT AGAINST PRESENTER WHO SAID PREGNANT WOMEN
Presenter Martine Croxall corrected her script from 'Pregnant People' to 'Pregnant Women' in a now famous viral clip
The BBC have UPHELD TWENTY COMPLAINTS against her

She was meant to read a LIE!
Alan Bates to get multi-million-pound payout over Post Office scandal.
Great news. All victims deserve a just settlement.
No contribution made by the Post Office, its execs; Fujitsu, lawyers, accountants.
No one prosecuted for hounding innocent people.

The UK government wants #pension funds to pour billions into housing — while also giving tenants new powers to challenge rents. Hard to see how that adds up to an “attractive investment environment.”
@JosephineCumbo If ever there was a case for NEVER letting Labour (or any govt) determine where & how your money should be invested, THIS IS IT - CRAZY
