We have to fight the urge to expect our version of God’s good timing, God’s good provision, and God’s good protection to match what we script for our lives.
God Himself is good. And that means His plans are good, His ways are good, and we can trust Him at all times.
The pursuit of perfection leads to pretending.
Pretending encourages others to chase perfection.
And it's just all so very exhausting.
Let's give each other the gift of transparency and grace as we pursue Jesus. Because perfection doesn’t exist on this side of eternity.
Helps to remember the objective:
We’re staying in
so we can go back out.
We’re staying apart
so we can get back together.
We’re loving one another
WELL
So we don’t make one another
SICK.
All our hard todays
are for a lotta happier tomorrows.
A depleted girl can quickly become a defeated girl when she lets emotions dictate her reactions.
Sometimes we need to slow down, say no, take a nap, and regroup.
Life is much more enjoyable and we are a lot less irritable when our pace is not set to the rhythm of rush.
When making a decision, we must be careful just simply going with our gut if we haven’t checked it against Truth-based knowledge and insight.
Let’s be women who walk wisely. Women who sincerely look to God’s Word as a lamp to our feet and a light for our path. (Psalm 119:105)
We want so badly for everything to go perfectly in our gatherings on Christmas but, if humans could come up with perfect, there’d be no Christmas. Take heart, fellow earthlings. Be unashamed of the unfixed. Open wide the door of your imperfect home to Him. To this Immanuel came.
