Biden, you need to start getting along with Russia’ – US Journalist

The Russian-hosted World Youth Festival demonstrates the stark contrast between the Russian and Western economic approaches, Caleb Maupin, a US journalist and political analyst, who visited the event told Sputnik.

Russia is focused on building solid infrastructure and developing energy, whereas the West “is about banking, speculation, profits, and militarism”.

“I would say to Biden, you need to start getting along with Russia. This approach of trying to isolate Russia, trying to divide the world between those who are friends with Russia and those who are friends with America, it's failing,” he stressed.

The festival has also allowed for informal contacts between unlikely partners, like North and South Korea. That clearly shows how Russia strives for genuine multipolarity and equity.

“One thing I've noticed is that there are people here from many countries that we in the US don't have the opportunity to visit,” Maupin noted. “The South Koreans and the North Koreans are there at the same festival talking about peace through development. And that gives me a great amount of inspiration. And it shows that Russia has a very different approach.”

Our Comrade @Rango1917 attended the demonstration on Saturday together with 750,000 to 1M other British workers.

It was a fantastic show of solidarity and support with the Palestinian people facing genocide at the hands of the Israeli Zionists, with full backing of our shameless and rapacious British government and Ruling Class.

We felt it was our moral obligation and duty to join the protest, despite previous persecution.

Ranjeet speaks for himself and for us all when he says that “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”, and that this is not a message of hatred, but of the defence of universal human rights, of peace and specifically demands “freedom” from the butchery of the Genocidal israeli state forces.

3 of our CPGB-ML comrades were arrested after the protest and were taken to Hammersmith police station and held overnight. Their houses were raided. They were falsely charged with supporting a proscribed terrorist group under the anti-Terror legislation passed in 2000, which gives our government very wide ranging and draconian powers to act against its own citizens - if we allow them to establish the precedent of using it freely against us.

CPGB-ML comrades then attended Hammersmith police station on Sunday to demand our comrade’s release. To our knowledge, none of the major organisers of the marches gave any show of solidarity or support.

We invite the @STWuk @PSCupdates @CNDuk @CPBritain @WorkersPartyGB @georgegalloway @DerbyChrisW @MuslimCouncil and others to make their voices heard loudly, together with independent campaigners and media groups @Lowkey0nline @MintPressNews @DoubleDownNews @ByDonkeys.

It is quite evident that this targeting of our message that “Palestine has the right to exist - and therefore the right to resist” is at the centre of the attempted criminalisation and dissipation of our mighty movement.

While Ranjeet did not breach any condition of bail, he was arrested while attending the police station to secure the release of his 3 comrades.

Ranjeet was allegedly arrested to “Investigate” (Raid his house again!!) charges of “terrorism: supporting hamas”, with reference to leaflets that he did not distribute, and in any event say no such thing.

NO CHARGES OF ANY SORT HAVE BEEN BROUGHT AGAINST ANY OF OUR MEMBERS AND SHOULD THEY BE AT ANY POINT IN THE FUTURE THEY WILL BE VIGOROUSLY DEFENDED, legally, morally and politically.

This is now, very clearly a pattern of State harassment, led from a governmental level, and in accordance with the messages of the now sacked Suella Braverman, who has from the outset sought to label our protests “Hate marches” and demanded that the police move against us. https://t.co/5XSi8BUjCu

All our comrades have now been released with the condition that they do not attend or organise any demonstrations “planned or unplanned”.
