They locked down our churches and restaurants
Caged us in our houses
Prohibited family from coming over
And now they’re deleting our ability to talk freely on social media
This isn’t about a virus
This is about making sure we can’t discuss their corruption
Imagine if, in the midst of the massive BLM riots this summer, the entire tech infrastructure had deplatformed Facebook because some had used that app to plan events devolving into violence. People would rightly have called that an insane act of ideological fascism.

This was the year the Fake News became so powerful they could tell you there was definitely no election fraud because you aren’t allowed to check. And it worked.
From now on, it appears that every legitimate protest will be infiltrated by bad actors perpetrating violence and destruction. That's the beginning of the end of public protest. Free speech is already half gone.
Obviously, it's obscene to compare yesterday's events at the Capitol to 9/11 or (as Schumer did) Pearl Harbor: obscene and reckless.
But Lee's point about the need for reflection and deliberation, not reactionary rage, applies to all situations where political emotions are high.
