The mistake didnât change your purpose. Donât let failures and times you got off course cause you to be against yourself. Be as merciful to yourself as you are to others. You have to learn to forgive yourself.
When you know who our God is, when you realize He created the universe, He spoke worlds into existence, He parted Red Seas, He healed the lepers, you wonât just ask Him for ordinary things. Youâll ask for your dreams; youâll ask for what looks impossible.
You canât explain it; it doesnât make sense. Itâs the blessing of God on your life. Hereâs the good news: youâre not waiting to be blessed, hoping to one day get this blessing. You are blessed. Itâs already happened.
Nothing youâve been through has been random. Itâs not happenstance or bad luck. God is still in control. You have to trust that Heâs sovereign, that what Heâs already decided for you will come to pass, that the good things in your future are unstoppable.
God never brings you out the same. When you understand this principle, you wonât live bitter when people do you wrong, you wonât fall apart when you go through loss, you won't give up on your dreams. Instead, you know itâs setting you up for something greater.
Most people already know what theyâre doing wrong. But when they hear about a God who gladly welcomes them, a God who doesnât hold their faults against them, a God who shows mercy when they deserve judgment, that's when theyâll change.
If you feed fear, youâre going to live fearful. If you feed discouragement, youâre going to live discouraged. If you feed the past, if you keep dwelling on what didnât work out, the mistakes youâve made, youâll live in regrets. Pay attention to what youâre feeding.
When it doesnât look hopeful, you donât see any sign of it happening, and every thought says youâre wasting your time, you have to dig down deep and, against all hope, hope on in faith. Against the odds, dare to believe.
God doesnât choose the way we choose. He never writes you off. He never gives up on you. His calling on your life is irrevocable. That means He doesnât change His mind.
Jesus said in John, âYou didnât choose Me; I chose you.â God handpicked you. He says, âI choose people that donât look like youâd expect.â Youâre who God chooses. He sees whatâs in you; He knows your potential.
God has given you what you need to fulfill your destiny. If you needed different gifts, different strengths, different looks, different parents, it would have happened. Quit comparing and run your race.
