tbh, ariana grande licking donuts and then serving them to the public because of her distain for america is kind of a vibe after the past 5 hellish years in this country
There are 30m Black adults in the U.S. If you asked most people "how many receive cash 'welfare'?" what would they say? 10m? 5m? 10% (3m)? The answer is 135,000 (less than 0.5%). And most receive it for 6 mo or less. "Dependence" stereotypes are racist garbage.
Per VPC (2020), 92% of murdered women were killed by a man they knew. Of those, 63% were an intimate partner. 56% used a gun.
The number of US women shot and killed by a male partner was four times the total number murdered by male strangers using all weapons combined.
Random thought: Did anyone else from a working class/low income family remember not having snacks in the house? Like, the food we had at home was just to make meals. We didn’t have potato chips, fruit snacks, cheese sticks, etc.
I remember thinking that someone must be rich if I went to their house and they had like little debbies and stuff... Even as an adult, I view having snacks at home as a luxury, I guess?
It’s also possible my mom was just weird and it had nothing to do with social class. 🤷♀️
